Has the Lotus Sport exhaust for the latest generation 111S always been a large oval shape, or can you get round shape?

I would also welcome opinions on the sound.

Thanks.

If you're talking S1 it's a Janspeed IIRC which comes in either the oval or twin pipe.

Don't know about the S2 I'm afraid.

To be honest, you're better off getting one which is stainless steel end-to-end (I think the LS one is mild steel except for the tail-pipes) and rots.

I've just had mine replaced (S1) with the Bell & Colville SS one which is great, but the Eliseparts one is also well rated.

For S2 I think the Larini is the weapon of choice.

Yes, an S2.

For some reason, buying of the page, I would prefer the genuine LS item, 'rotter' or not.

Maybe a good idea to hear a Larini though.

why one earth would you prefer the Lotus one? Most of us have spent the last few years replacing all the lotus bits with ones that work and are well designed and up to the job.

Does the standard back-box suffer from the same rotting - is it made of mild-steel too?

If its no worse, then for the hassle free grin-factor, I may chance one.

Asked and answered.....

- you can have either big bore round or oval tips, they are ordered as a seperate part to the box either way

- the box is now stainless steel, so shouldn't rot
