Thought I would post this to see how much of a potential market there is? A mate of mine is an experienced fibre glass laminator and has for a while thought about producing a full bodyshell suitable for the above cars. The body shell will be boltable, IE a series 1 / griff body built to same spec as series 2 vixen to bolt onto a chassis. Shell can be made standard or with FIA arches and there are a choice of Bonnets.

An estimated cost for a complete shell with doors and Bonnet is circa £5000, This would be dependant on an order of a minimum of 5 shells to make it worth while producing the mould.

I am not connected with the project financially, but thought I would post to see what interest if any there would be.

Neil.

The original vixen body moulds were for sale in sprint about 4-5 years ago (just before it went to A4) - must be out there somewhere (remember that the rear arches aren't symmetrical on the S3)

Just remembered you're talking about S1 shells, so I'll stop...

From David Gerald I bought in the early 90's the latest ever build Vixen body which was never finished by the TVR factory !!! It is a S4 body without paint. The floorpan is still seperate from the body!
And yes,..it is for sale !!

Neil there are at least 2 body moulds for these Griff 400 type shells that I know of and they are very seldom used so probably little demand for another
