I'm moving from Switzerland to the US and wondered if any of the following will work still

IMac 2010 model( originally UK model
Apple TV 2011 model( originally UK model)
Sonus play bar ( switzerland model)
Panasonic tx p65stw60 (Switzerland model)
PS3 (uk model)

I'm really hoping these will work out the box, am I an luck?

Thanks

You need to check the power input or power supply, it will probably be written on them, or check the spec online. 110v 60Hz is US power. Most things are universal these days.

I took my electrical kit when I moved from the UK to the US.
I bought a transformer which could step up/down the voltage and that did the trick

Imac, Check labels, they were auto-switching in 2010 but you may need to flick a switch
Apple TV OK
Playbar OK
Panasonic TV Maybe check labels but NTSC is their format so factor in a new TV.
PS3 OK

Thanks, bugger on the tv, it's the most important bit, especially with no more plasm as being produced by panasonic .
I assume it's the tv signal that's the issue as my downloads from America all work.

It might work but I wouldn't count on it. They use NTSC but since HD formats have come in this may have changed. There should be a label showing the voltage inputs on the back if it says 100v-230v you have a start.

I've never had issues using UK TV's in either the US or Canada when I've lived there on secondments and taken them with me.

We moved from Australia to the US. The only issue we had (other than a nice range of power tools) was our Panasonic 54VT20 plasma TV. Transformer/inverter thingy from Amazon for $60 sorted that out. As others have said, most electronics come with switch-mode power supplies and will accommodate a power supply change. Anything with a power adapter that plugs into the wall should work just fine as well. Some internet trickery will also help you - my Australian-sourced PS3 said it was 240V only, but the internet said different, and it's still going strong after being here two years!

Hope this helps...

The TV will be fine with an HDMI input. If you have a cable input it's very likely to still be OK, and if not then just get a TIVO or equivalent and run through that.

The only possible problem with the ps3 will be bluray and DVD region coded discs.

Games are not region locked and the power supply is fime for 110V 60Hz.
