Small rust who in car

Hey I have a small rust hole in the floor of my car near but not on the sills, anything I can do to stop it spreading for 2 weeks till my mechanic can weld it up for me.

I'd be surprised if it spread any amount that'll make a difference to the work needed patching it up to be honest.

how small is small ?

cover the area is a rustregen stuff which converts rust to metal you can paint, then paint it then use some JB weld and cover the area with some plating and paint it

The size of a 20p piece, my mechanic is patching it in 2 weeks time. Just don't want it to spread in that time.

I doubt it will spread at all in two weeks although in my experience it's normally a lot worse than it looks, have you checked the surrounding metal and is it definitely only the size of a 20p piece?

Unless you regularly drive through acid, it's not going to spread appreciably in 2 weeks. Leave it till then.

Yes the metal around the hole seems solid

its been festering for years to rot into a hole , 2 weeks will do no more harm

In my old Mini, I had a hole where the floor plan met the front wheel arch on the passenger side... it was big enough to put your hand through and the footwell flooded when it rained haha. At least if it broke down, a Flintstones style propulsion could be possible... It was fixed with a fresh panel.

Two weeks? Absolutely nothing to worry about, it won't get worse in that time. I'd simply duct tape it to stop water coming through until the repair.

it may be the tramadol, but in the past few days I have noticed several posts that surely cant be serious..... if they are my fears regarding a certain percentage of the population breeding are larger than they were previously..
