I've been reporting potholes and general road defects in my area for the last six months or so using this. I have to say, they are normally fixed within a couple of weeks.
So if you feel the urge to moan about a pothole - please take the time to report it via the link above, and something will usually be done about it (in my experience anyway). I guess some councils are less proactive.
You can see if someone has already reported it - and more often than not, you are the first person.
Yes I know we'd all like better roads etc etc. But if you see a dangerous pothole - please report it.

Other potholes in the area were reported directly to them last year, but still aren't fixed. Apparently they'll be done by the end of the financial year!
