Hey Guys,

I have a track day booked on 8th September in Spa and we are going to the Ring for the Sunday before.

I was wondering if any of you have recommendations for a good cheap hotel in the area? The guys Im going with are booking £100+ a night hotels! I dont really have that budget...

I doubt there are many hotels or pensions at €50 near the Ring. nearer €70-80 twin would be more accurate. I've just returned from there this weekend. I'd recommend Hotel an Der Nordschleiffe in Briedshied and a Pizza accross the road in Casa Julia or stay in Hotel/Pension Giles in Mullenbach. Don't support the monstrosity that is the Nurburgring Complex, Linder etc.

For somewhere near the ring try Wald Hotel at Jammelshofen, its about 3 miles from the circuit and was 60 Euros with breakfast. Nice and clean with a good breakfast. Owner is a Petrolhead which helps ! A bit isolated but if only overnight its absolutely fine.

I stayed there my first time I went to the Ring in 2002. Lovely place and a nice drive from there to either the main Ring or Adeneau going the other way.

I've stayed here, its cheap friendly and cheerful.

Does it still have the sign in the room about the cleaning wife?

I was speaking to the owner of this place at a recent Spa trackday:

He seemed a decent bloke and he was pretty quick on the bike!
