road racing: caught and banned.
Discussion
Banned for stopping at traffic lights and accelerating quickly, a bit harsh. Very unlikely they are going to lose control and crash.
People accelerate quickly off the lights every day, I see this everyday on the commute! Mr A6 2 litre TDi quattro proving how quick off the line his big fancy looking S-line car is, when in reality it is very slow for a car that size.

I have to say I thought the same, not much to the video. The only thing that makes it potential "dangerous" is the people at the side of the road. Escy said:

If the reporting is to be believed the police were only aware of it from the stuff uploaded to the web. It's a bit like that motorcycle gang in NYC that included at least two police officers chasing down that Range Rover and beating the driver to a pulp in front of his wife and kid incriminating themselves with the video they uploaded to the Internet.

It was the insurance fraud element that I was pleased to see in the convictions list.
But the fines are pathetic, £400 was the largest fine for the insurance fraud and that's not even as much as the average premium.Oh an it's some of the lamest "racing" I have seen.
In an article elsewhere, I think it's the local chronicle, it does say that the footage shown is only what has been released by Police. That suggests to me that there's a lot more footage not released. That could be the incriminating stuff and I know a few media officers who wouldn't release the meaty stuff because of the morons who try to emulate it. You'll always get the idiots who think that the F&F movie franchise is a documentary.

It's a sentence I never thought I'd see but you're correct. Especially with those alloysbut that wide arched nova looks great ..

That Nova looks very Delta Integrale(ish), whilst I'm sure the wheels look like their from an original Ur Quattro. I like.
But racing like that on a public road, somewhat lacking in brain cells.
Yes, I quite like the tarmac rally styling of it. But racing like that on a public road, somewhat lacking in brain cells.
The owner is/was on PH, as seen here, having advertised the car here:
