My 02 3.6 C4 cab just pooped itself. No warnings, just stalled at traffic lights. I sensed something wasn't right. So I didn't restart it, as no knocking or rattling sounds. Just pushed it to safety. Little drops of oil to a massive puddle beneath in no time. Specialist confirmed IMS. My 8th porsche. Strangely not upset me.

What next. I quite fancy a 964. The hunt begins.

I think I'm going to eBay it, may try a PH ad, but not sure it would work.

Any opinions on price and best way to sell would be appreciated.

Hartech may well buy it from you. Give them a call.

Have a friend who wants to buy a failed 996/997 in order to have put right by a specialist. if interested PM me and I'll send on to him.

My 2003 C4 had scored bores, and after fixing all issues, took him to Le Mans in it this year and I think he was convinced of best route to ownership.

If I've said it once I've said it 5 times!

Haven't posted for a while. It can't be that difficult to not repeat yourself....

Goood for you. Hope you came away from the situation relatively unscathed.

Ballpark, what did you sell it for?
