No it can't. I've owned both. In fact two iterations of the 330 engine, in a Z4 and e46. My old GTV V6 for a sense of occasion and overall sound was loads better!

That's what I was thinking. On paper the BMW E46 330ci (what I was looking at)is the better car by some margin when comparing to a GTV V6 in terms of handling, build and spec. But its the sense of occasion I'm after and also depreciation is also a factor as there's very few V6 GTV's about now.
