May deposit, did you feel a cancelled order?..Its a late deposit, well, as far as I am aware.What do you think about it?

Why late deposit? I was told by the Dealer that it takes around 11 month to get the car so I thought May was good time to pull the trigger for 2015 build.
Have you been given a confirmed build date? I put my deposit down fairly late (June 2013) and have one of the final cars from my OPC's allocation. If you have not had a build date confirmed i would say that you will be lucky to get a car

Porsche had such a shock with the spontaneous combustion of the last batch that they have over spent their budget replacing the engines.
I've read somewhere on the internet that they wont produce any more until they have designed a decent engine that is capable of lasting longer than a set of windscreen wipers.

I'm sure Porsche are congratulating themselves in successfully pissing off a sizeable section of their enthusiastic customer base by failing to meet demand. Maybe they think these disappointed disaffected customers will go and buy one of their dreary soft alternatives instead. Maybe there are residual concerns about reliability and warranty costs (I doubt).

or could it not be that taking into account that having won best performance car of the year on the planet, 2014,( beating the 458 Specaile, which is no mean feat btw )demand has exceeded expectations x 5, along with upcoming markets require halo product.....Who knows?

How a few days can change things. I have now driven the 458 specale and for me it's no contest. I,ll take the 458s
Price is what sold the GT3. How many here would have bought the 458s if it were the same price.
As others have said for that price the gt3 is a bargin it's a shame the real people who want them cannot buy one.
