Help Identifying a found key

I found what I think is an old car key whilst walking the dog earlier. If i still had a local police station I;d just hand it in for them to deal with, but they're all closed down and the replacement SNT shop front things are not open until Wednesday evening.

The area I found the key in is fairly remote. I went looking for a while hoping to find the car that it would belong to, so I could leave a note for the owner. I was looking for a Suzuki as I assumed the S logo was a Suzuki as I know it isn't a Subaru or Saab logo.

It seems from a little googling that it is actually a SILCA key. It is too old to have any electronics in, and is just a metal key in a hard plastic ending. The code on the back is SX9 AP. Does anyone happen to know what car this might be for?

I don't really want to spend over an hour on a round trip to the police station, or wait until Weds to hand it in. Hopefully a little amateur detective work can at least narrow down the search and the key can be returned.

Seems to suggest a Saxo or XM from the mid-90s...

You're probably not going to find the owner as there is nothing unique to identify the key..

The good news is that the letter P confirms that you weren't lying about it being plastic.

The bad news is the S has nothing to do with the car brand, its probably a Citroen replacement key.
