Battery Connector

Hi

Can anyone tell me which is the +ve/-ve terminals on the battery connector on the underside of the car, as I have a flat battery and don't own one of those special leads that is required?

+VE is towards the front of the car.

If in doubt stick a voltmeter on it. If you get it wrong it's likely to be quite exciting!

Are you sure, as if my memory serves me from this morning, then the connectors were side by side, so in other words neither of them are any closer to the front of the car than the other?

It looked to me that one would be closer to the nearside of the car, and obviously the other closer to the offside?

On mine the plug connector is co-ordinated like this:-



If it is the other way around, a voltmeter would be the safest way to check
