What did i see
Discussion
Coming south from Scotland yesterday, English plates (silver on black) LHD,
seriously pretty, small, maybe Lancia Fulvia size and that sort of shape, 2 door, possibly 4 seats (not a coupe).
Bonnet bulge on drivers side (remember LHD)
I saw some sort of script/badge on the back, it was angled up, low at the left, high at the right, completely stumped me and i am not bad at all at working out what i have seen.....
Not much to go on i know....
Worked it out (i may have been wrong about the side the bulge was on)
Triumph Italia, never seen or heard of by me before.

Just Googled it, lovely thing, never seen or heard of that car either.
Never sold officially in the UK. Styled by Michelotti, built by Vignale - supposed to be sold worldwide through Triumph dealers but Triumph brought out the TR4 instead and the whole concept never caught on.tapkaJohnD said:
Indeed, TR3 chassis, body designed by Michelotti, the non-in-house designer for Triumph, and built by Vignale, it has all the hallmarks of a classic Italian GT of the 50's.
Well done for IDing it, it's so rare, only 329 ever built.

I guessed there was an Italian influence, the badge on the back was my key, actually found a Facebook page with the pictures to confirm itWell done for IDing it, it's so rare, only 329 ever built.
