My 1st Digital Camera
Discussion
I've decided to treat myself to a digital camera, don't need anything to feature packed, but as usual you set yourself a budget, venture into the shops and within 10 minutes it's doubled
I'm only going to be using it for point and shoot, holiday style/candid snaps, and the size, look, and 'feel' of the thing were most important
Had a chat with the man in Comet, and he was very helpfull, didn't know a huge amount, but enough to open my eyes to a few things I'd not thought about, like the difference in cost of memory and is it rechargable
The Canon Ixus range struck me as being nicer in the hand than a lot of others, so as usual I leave the shop empty handed to see what the web has to offer
And I find this...Canon SD200 for £190ish and their memory cards are 1/2 the price of the highstreet so I'd be up and running for not much more than £200
Does anyone have any experiance of that model, I like the 2" LCD, and the small size of the camera
but is there anything else at this price point thats worth a look, don't point me in the direction of £250 cameras, I'm already pushing it at £200, I set off to spend no more than £150ish

I don't have that one but I have the Ixus 400. Had it for a while now and for me it's fine. Can be got for 190 quid now, click link above.
It fits in my pocket, it does what I need it to do. Although I wouldn't waste my time using the movie mode (I think all digi cameras are fairly rubbish for that).
Couple of piccies below, the size has been reduced and the sparklies in one of them is a bit of sand in the air.
