plug gaps on a ZZ4..?
Discussion
It's based on the plug. Here are the standards, but you need to find the type of plug being used.
If using the FR5LS (stock AC Delco plug), .035 is the standard gap. If you are using the AC Delco Rapidfire, the gap is .045. If you use platinum tips (Champion and others), it's probably more like .060.

My plugs are champion RS12YC, so be interested what gap you think? Anyone think other pulgs are "better" than these? Just bought the ones Real Steel suggested (which is where I got my engine)

What year is your engine block? Stock deck and piston height? Different heads? What type of ignition system do you have?
That plug is a standard, copper core, resistor. It should be .035 (inches). You could probably experiment up to .045, but not much beyond I wound't think.
I am sure your engine builder knows what is needed, but I wouldn't have guessed that plug would be used on a Chevy V8 as the only Chevy listed for that plug (at the Champion site) is a 1975 2.0 litre 4-banger.
