Corsa 'limited edition'

I quite like them. Good looking little buggers with reasonably fun driveability. Sensible price means even more young drivers can now mooch around in a decent car instead of a nail.
Sure, they are not quick or especially exclusive but every time I see a few in McDonald's or halfords with a load of youths hanging about I cant help but feel its inspiring more petrol heads... well, maybe inspiring a few chav b

I can't agree with the 'encouraging petrolheads' comment though. Where I live it is entirely the opposite, they are bought purely because they're cheap, new and are 'limited'. Most owners I know are not into cars at all it's just that these fit the image better than most alternatives.
I find that anyone into cars of my age or similar(21) actively dislikes them and would probably pick the Fiesta if they wanted a new car from that class. After driving a Corsa D I can see why, I hated it.

I used one (albeit a small diesel one) as a company van for a bit. It was bloody slow but seemed fine. Handled ok. I now have a fiesta company van which smashes it, and the handling is excellent. Isn't the fiesta a fair chunk more money though?

We usually just keep the laughs between ourselves but there has been a few occasions outside the local Asda at night, when "those sort" gather together and 3 or 4 of the LE corsas feature, she has got her camera out and shouted "Oh My God! 3 Limited Edition Corsas in the same place at once! Scotty quick, get my picture!".

A mate in work has just had a 1.3 diesel Limited Edition, on lease. He got it because it was the cheapest, and with the new model coming out they are getting rid of the current ones. He had a Hyundai i10 as a courtesy car while he was waiting for it to be delivered, and hated it. "You have to put the key in the doors to unlock it!"
The Corsa is here now, and he's happy.

Just the same as all the other shi^H^Hmall cars. Millions of "special editions" that are nothing more than a few different colour pieces of plastic and odd specs.
I mean look at Renault, the old clio (just because I happened to be looking at how slow it was earlier)
