Oil pump priming

Guys do you need to do this or will it self prime, on a 2.9 S2

Should self prime, I'd leave the plugs out and crank it for about 20-30 seconds to get the oil all round before starting if it's had a major strip down.

Thanks Mike yes it's been stripped and left void of oil for a couple of months, but it jus dawned on me yesterday, but I didn't fancy stripping the sump off again
