Been quoted GBP1000 for stainless steel exhaust (including manifolds) - sound about right?

Any thoughts on manufacturers?

Not to me it doesnt where is it from??

I bought a S/S JP sports exhaust from ACT plus the new reworked Y piece and it was only around £650 IIRC?? Give ACT a call.

Definitely steep.

Mainfolds, could be an issue though, when stripping a set of heads last weekend I snapped 1 manifold stud, off the car btw. But the exhaust system itself is an on off job in around an hour at the most.

Get the Exhaust and Manifods from ACT. Best around IMHO.

Why hate to say it Joolz..? If you think that's an OK price, then that's your opinion. To be fair, as a specialist you should have a good idea...!

Must dig out the bills for my S exhaust...

I'll third that the (V8) ACT pipes are... wicked!

I paid £490 for them, and was quoted 600ish for the manifolds, I think

IIRC both prices included labour, I didnt go for the manifolds though.

Can only comment for V6 not V8, but price sounds about right. I paid nearly £500 for s/s manifold and another £500 (just over) for exhaust. Then another load more when bolts in head snapped! Try JP exhausts in Macclesfield.

OK OK so I'm only going on the service history that came with my S1, but I think the full SS System was under £400 including manifolds and came from a company called Andrew Page Ltd up north somewhere.. sorry but I still think a grand is a lot of money for it, but I am a tight fisted git and I'd fit it myself too anyway
Cheers,
Matt

IIRC, ACT sell the JP systems for the S but ACT are able to provided them cheaper than we'd be able to buy them from JP. I guess ACT have negotiated a good price with JP and can pass a discount on.

Keep it under your hats

My pre-cat V8S stainless steel exhaust cost me £425.35 from ACT in July this year.

My SS exhaust (including the 'hockey sticks')& fitting was £600. S2 SS manifolds are £175.95 each. So your price seems reasonable.
