Respray Cost

As a ball park figure, what would be a fair price for a bodyshop to undertake the following re-spray work on a pickup truck?:

- Both rear wings (the previous owner had a go at filling and painting himself and did a hash job),
- Tailgate,
- Front right wing (incl. welding/filling old antenna hole and treating surface rust under wheel arch),
- Front bumper,
- Side mirror 'caps',
- 2 Door handles and 1 tailgate handle.

I'd say around £700-£800 for an average job.

I'd have said double that, but it depends where you live and the local going labour rates and also whether any colour feathering in to adjacent panels is needed/expected.

I'll 2nd this. It always works out more expensive than you think, plus there's so many variables. Such as do they need to go back to bare metal/plastic, if they do what condition is the metal in. Also respray is quite a broad term, some places may offer a cheap quote, but a year down the line will look terrible. If possible try to find some reviews or recommendations first. Sometimes the most expensive places aren't always the best . It's all quite labour intensive, especially the smaller bits. Oe more thing (sorry!) don't forget VAT, most places don't include this in a quote. I had a mgb resprayed, had a shock when VAT was put on!
