Unexpectedly deep puddles in fact. I've learned that unlike a Golf GTI that can (although not completely wisely) blat through a small flood during a flash downpour, this can't be said for a 997. The quite impressive 'bang' as I hit the water has sprung quite a few clips that hold the trays on under the car. The trays have then flapped about and broke off (completely with more bangs and cracks) as naive me drove on regardless.
Not a big job to replace, and Porsche Wilmslow have checked the car out - all ok.
Bugger.
Is there any more 'everyone knows that' type advice that anyone can think of, other than 'don't put the windows down if it's been raining as the rain comes straight in over your window switches'
