Dad's birthday - Spotters Radio
Discussion
Hello chaps,
It's my old mans birthday in September and I need to find a decent spotters radio.
Having spent 31 years in the air traffic game he likes to keep his hand in and uses a spotters radio to listen to the kites first thing in the morning. His current radio is getting old so I want to treat him to a new setup.
He's tech savy but it needs to be easy to use! If I can program in say 10 frequencies that can be 'quick dialled' or is easy to select frequencies that would be great.
I'm open to budget, I know you can spend £50-£700 so really looking for a decent radio in the £200-300 mark.
I've had a good search but really want to know from someone that uses a particular radio which they feel is best.
Any advice or recommendations will be gratefully received.
Cheers
Tack.
