TV in the lounge I had a good signal strength & quality, including receiving HD through a Youview box. In the kitchen there was an aerial socket, but until recently I'd never used it (but was wired in). The signal for the kitchen comes from a cable wired from the back of the aerial socket in the lounge. Now with a TV in the kitchen I get good picture on both, but the TV in the lounge now can't receive HD. Tried a retune of the Youview box & it doesn't even find the channels (101, 102 etc). I don't have both TV's on at the same time. Is there a better way to wire the kitchen socket without running another cable?

Put a booster beyind the TV in the lounge, run the feed from the aerial in, then a feed out to the TV and connect the kitchen wire to another outlet.

Have you touched the wires at all? If you ahve any connection issues, the first channels to go will be the HD ones. It could be that you just need to re-terminate the cables so sort the connections.

You might be able to access a signal strength meter in the TVs, that will help you see what's what if you mess about with the wires.

I agree with the booster suggestion. Easy to achieve with very few ££ at Maplin, Amazon or elsewhere.

Might be worth checking the aerial and connections as well. Depends on ease of access.
