SO the current i20 is pretty distinctive and the styling is nicely done if a little generic. So why produce a car that apes the Audi A1? Seems a Backward step as the i30/i40 are such a good design that has no connections even to the Kia's they share a platform with.

Sort of similar, but (IMO of course) the i20 looks better.

That's the "old" i20.

New one is more

Don't really look remotely similar.
I would say the i20 looks better, and is probably more reliable.

Didn't the original i20 borrow the design team of the Vauxhall Corsa? Especially at the back.

Just another bland little car. A bit similar but not more so than plenty of other similar cars.

Not seeing it at all. Did the OP's guide dog give him that idea. Now if you had said it looks like a shrunken Citroen DS5 I'd have to concur....

PS. Kind of ironic suggesting someone has ripped off the A1, seeing as it has more than a few styling cues from the FIAT 500.

The interior of this is very Audi-like. The exterior not so much, but so much nicer than an A1.

That's a completely different car.

There's an ex Audi designer working for Kia/Hyundai these days - remember seeing something about this after the newer Sportage came out - maybe very similar design philosophies

Was behind an i10 today (but not for long! Ho ho!) and would say if anything it looks more like a Toyota iQ crossed with the latest mini's tail lights at the back.

Clearly, I was just pointing out that everyone seems to want to ape Audi for some reason.

I have a new i10. It's brilliant! Does remind me of an iQ from the back, though.

I thought the new i10 looked a bit like the original Yaris from the back.

The i20 roofline bears a vague resemblance to that of an A1 Sportback, but similarities end there.

Ignoring the front end, in those photos the sides, roofline, windows, rear end profile look similar nerd
