Alternatives to Evo X FQ400

A friend of mine is selling his extensively modified Impreza Hatch and replacing it with an Evo X FQ400.

Any suggestions of other cars? (As I really do not rate Evo X's)

I've suggested an M3 csl but he despises the SMG gearboxes. Ideally four seats, modern and fast as possible. He already has a GTR so that's out of the window.

Spend ~£2k on mods and it will get to 60 in 3 seconds and be almost as quick in a sprint as the GTR.

Or wait a year for the R400 to be launched

For goodness sake will you stop banging on about the Golf. It will never do 0-60 in 3 secs and a GTR will murder it in most situations. 300hp is bugger all, it's just a bloody Golf.

Amen. One is a twin turbo V6 supercar, the other is a blown hatchback. Also, when I see these launch figures for mapped Golfs, I do wonder how many times the drivetrain will take that kind of abuse.

It's tedious and getting beyond a joke.

It isn't thrashing everything in test either. It has lost to the Seat Leon, BMW M135i and even the Pug RCZ-R in tests.

Yeah we're now putting in in classes way beyond its capability.

A man was ridiculed off this forum for his junior supercar comments.
