Any good sources for Chrome or alloy instrument/gear selector surrounds - they seem to be a bit pricey from Jaguar? How do you fit them anyway?

With the exchange rate as it is, give these guys a try.

They are just clip in I believe. I can't think what Jag would charge! But with the link below, at a moderate exchange rate, would mean to get the 'R' Performance aluminium pedals, guage clusters and gear lever surround totals about £505. Plus P+P.

I hoped they would simply clip in, but knowing my luck, I'd have to remove the dash.
Thanks for the contact and info.

Thanks. I took your advice Triple7 and ordered a set of 6 instrument surrounds and an alloy pedal set from Jagxp total cost delivered £225. Someone will probably say I could have got them cheaper from ????? but I'm happy enough with that price. The web site is worth a look if you haven't been there yet.
Merry Christmas all.

So, have you got them yet, and if so, are they simple to fit? Could be my next purchase...

Yes, they arrived and are now fitted. The instrument rings simply push into place, although a couple were a bit on the tight side, but went into place with a little pressure. Another couple were the opposite and required a little tape (hidden of course) to hold them securely, not a problem though. I suspect it is more down to the accuracey of the dash tolerances rather than the rings set. I also went for the gear lever surround which was easy to fit, although you have to remove the plastic one and secure the two switches into the new metal surround. All parts were included. Not rocket science!

The pedal set was more awkward and required some gymnastics to crawl down to the pedals. I can't make up my mind about them as to whether they are 'boy racer' or not, whereas the rest looks really classy - a nice finishing touch.

You might want to note that I was hit with £25 import VAT and customs agent handling on top of the purchase price by the post office.
