Heinz Curried Beans

I only have these occasionally as a bit of a treat.
Last week I was surprised to find they are now called Heinz beans curry instead.
When I tried these curry beans I found that they were horrible and tasted nothing like they used to.

I've just discovered that Heinz no longer make Curried Beans.
I can't believe it.
I've been eating these all of my life.
I feel a genuine sense of loss.
My life is now a little more meaningless than it was.

Am I the last to know this or have I just ruined someone else's life?

How can they do this to me?

Not quite sure if it is the same, but I mix Maykway with my beans. Gives the best curry beans I have ever tasted

i could be remembering this wrongly, but did they not have sultanas thrown in there too??

Well that's spooky ,just this minute put down a plate of pie n Curried beans.

Agree that they're not as good as they used to be, not stopping me from buying them.

Did they change when they stopped being available in the small size ?

Yeah, for some reason the small tins disappeared and the new ones in the larger tin appeared on the shelf.

Heinz beans curry is truly nasty, best avoided. Tried once, never again.

Tin of beans plus your preferred amount of curry powder. Stir = done.

Add grated Cheese for cheesy curried beans.

I think there's slightly more to it than simply adding some curry powder?
What about the onion, garlic, cumin seeds, fresh coriander etc to jazz it up?

Oh yeah, definitely.

But for a quick, easy & tasty way of replicating curried beans, a few spoons of curry powder does the job perfectly!
