HDMI SPLITTERS

I need to add another box to the TV by HDMI, but don't have a spare slot (other than the DVI and ARC is I am considering a splitter. Now, there are cheap splitters and expensive splitters (big surprise), will a cheap one do? Will there be problems, eg syncing?

You don't want a splitter, you need an HDMI switch, or combiner. e.g.

I wasn't expecting it to be any good, but have been pleasantly surprised.

It doesn't auto switch but with the remote that's no problem.

I also have one of those HDMI switchers linked above (the Neet switch on Amazon), never had a problem with it.
