Had a few ups and downs at this weekends race meeting at York.
It was a glorious day on Sunday and despite trying my best to preserve the standard driveshafts i ran a few very low 11's and ended up coming 3rd place in the annual 'Strret Racer' event. The 2 guys in the final were fellow NSCC racers so the prize money went to good friends and regular York racers.
In the semi final of NSCC i had to pull the stops out as i was up against 'Bootlegger', a pro street supercharged Camaro that runs 9's. I was beaten off the line but gave chase best i could. I did something right as i managed to push the Chim to run a 10.889 @ 128.95
With better driveshafts, new tyres and a few tweaks i think i can challenge Brummmie for top spot on the 1/4 mile table soon
The bad news is it looks like i may have burnt a valve out if not worse when running my first qualifier on Monday. So it was another trip up courtesy of the AA.

On reflection i reckon i was 4 tenths off Simons RT therfore my run would have been a 10.7 something
