Opinions please...

My chim is due for some fairly major surgery next week, all for mot and getting the old thing in to a good state.
It's got 4 ditch finders currently, I've been offered a good price on 4 toyos and alignment, however I'm conscious that pretty soon after I get it back it'll be in the garage for winter not moving on my nice set of toyos.
One tire has a crack across the side wall, i don't think it'll fail an mot but I'm no mot tester..?!
So basically, 4 new tyres now or wait until spring?

I'd just get 4 cheapies to get the MOT and slide around in winter on. Then splash out in the spring

Where geographically speaking are you?
I can lend you a complete set of wheels and tyres to get you through the MOT (the cracked one shouldn't pass the MOT), if you are anywhere near enough for me to drop them in on my travels. PM me if you prefer to remain incog, incong..., icnog, in hiding.

The ones on there are cheapies, they inspire no confidence, although do make good smoke whilst going round in circles:-D
I don't think the crack is severe enough to warrant an mot failure, but I'd be annoyed if I had to pay a fair but more for a tyre that I could have got for less.....

If the cracks dont expose the carcass/cords/wires then its a "Pass & Advise"
