After initially being won over by the 111R, I have just bought a new 111S in Ardent Red, with black wheels and AC.

Loved both cars, but decided the 111S brakes would remind me to behave myself more than the servo/ABS 111R - after all I've been spoilt with traction and stability control for far too long

Well done mate, gonna get one myself in the spring. There's the 4 grand saving to be made by getting the 111S over the 111R as well! Which may have assisted you in your decision along with the brakes.

Get a picture of your car on your profile screen asap. Then we can all take a look at it! Happy motoring. With the money you saved getting the 111s you can get the induction, exhaust, de-cat, braided brake lines all sorted straight away!

The ££££ saving was a factor, but I really believe the brakes will keep me honest, when I would otherwise let the car take me beyond my driving abilities

Exhaust will be done before I collect, then I'll see how it runs before braided lines and all the other bits

The nice chaps at Castle Lotus had it tucked away in the corner, saving it for me obviously

Congratulations for the choice and the nice look of the car.
I ordered also a 111S but my comparaison was with the standard model.
This is why I never try a 111R and would like to have your opinion regarding pleisure OUTside tracks between the S and the R.
In many journals, the numbers (0-62,...) are close between the S and R but mainly in french magazine, they do not find many advantage between the std and the S.
Opinions?
