Looking for some help re my next car, my baby Alfa GTV V6 failed the MOT badly and is being sold.
I like my cars to be a bit different and rare on the road and I have only ever owned Italian marques.
Up to £8k to spend and will be buying from the trade.
Will only be doing 3k tops on miles per year.
I'm looking for something with 4 seats, saloon, coupe or soft top, fast, rare and exclusive, don't want any Jap stuff but struggling to find anything Italian.
Was thinking Jaguar XKR but put off as getting a bit old now.
Seen a BMW 645ci E63 that looks very tempting.
Any other ideas greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Could always buy a nice tidy Alfa GTA, I know of a very high spec 147 GTA that's up for sale wink

Monaro CV8 will be perfect for your needs. Seats 4 adults, coupe, rare and a big stonking V8 under the bonnet.

£8k will get you a 2006-2008 335i coupe or cab with fsh and a few miles.
300 plus bhp but good mpg.
Very nice place to sit usually have heated leather sat nav etc and a level of quality you just won't find in an Alfa.
Yes it's just a 3 series but Take one for a drive before you say no as they are surprisingly good to drive.

Otherwise another V6 Alfa is hard to beat in terms of value for money.

Instantly thought of another Alfa (well two) - how about a Brera or the Spider it's based on ?

Must say if I had a spare £7000 or so burning a hole in my pocket, a red Spider with tan leather interior would be very near the top of my wish list.

How's this? Rare, Italian. If you're only doing 3k miles a year it should appreciate in value too.

Shame you said 4 seats as a 350z ticks a lot of petrolhead boxes... Cant imagine many other cars not resulting in you missing the gtv v6 engine note. Monaro isn't a bad shout I guess in terms of rarity and engine

Maserati bi turbos look great, would love one of that vintage. Just love the alcantara interior smile

8k will also get you into a BMW 8 series. Meets everything on your list, but may be to old for you. Still nothing else quite looks like one, definitely rare and unique! Even though I may be a bit biased wink

Good luck with your search.

Yeah i know I'm going to miss that Busso V6 soundtrack, that's why I don't really fancy a 159 or Brera V6 cos i know i'll be dissapointed with the GM engine.
The 147 GTA may be worth at least a look but is it special enough?
I should never of sold my Lancia Integrale Evo :-(
I do have it in my mind to go up to a V8 though ;-)

You'd get a decent E39 M5 for that.
