Hi

Thinking I could do with a few extra quid in my pocket and working as a driver at a car auction has crossed my mind.

I've been to a few auctions so I've got an idea how it all works.

Just wondered if anyone has done this before and if it's a reasonable wee number or slave labour?

Thanks.

I haven't done it, but my father-in-law was killed in an RTA involving a gang of these drivers.

Seems like slave labour - job factors in about 2p to get back from 4 million miles away - MO seems to be to claim the 2p and hitch back and work a million hours (first action in the RTA of the driver was to find and destroy the tacho chart before retuning to see if my FIL was OK).

I wasn't meaning working as a trade plate driver - yeah I've heard this really is slave labour - I was thinking more the drivers that work on the auction site taking the cars through the auction, parking afterwards then getting the next car to drive through.
