I bought a car last week from a local dealer and among the extras advertised was Bluetooth, I found out this weekend that it doesn't, it just has all the controls fitted incase it's added later. I contacted the dealer and they said they'd look at the advert but I've heard nothing since. What's the best way to go about getting it fitted, should they be paying for it or should I have checked at the time of buying?

You're not the first to be duped by this, I'm sure. The common phrase seems to be 'Bluetooth prep' which (as I now know) just means that there is a bit of wiring harness ready for an expensive module to be plugged in.

The advert actually said it was fitted with Bluetooth though, do I not have a leg to stand on then? I wouldn't take the car back over it but it would have been nice to have it

How much does the bluetooth module cost? Maybe offer to go 50:50 with the dealer?
