Looking at buying a 1.8l Mercedes 190 and obviously I've heard good things and it is also aesthetically pleasing. But I need to know if it will be adequate for long distance driving across the country including road trips. Also does it have a decent sized boot? Thanks very much

I'm suggesting your post is a windup as you are asking if a car that has been out of production for 20 years will be up to a road trip and how big the boot is.

In answer to the first question 20 years ago you could have driven one around the world just stopping for fuel. Now it depends if its spent its life mini cabbing or in a 'collection'.

As for the size of the boot. Open one and have a look. If you want to get a pallet in it its no good. I you want to put a few suitcases and some shopping in its fine - just like every other mid sized three box saloon ever made.
