Is my V12 Vantage due a service?
Discussion
I purchased my V12 from a main dealer mid July this year. The last service it had done was in September 2013, 10 months prior to my purchase. I didn't really put much thought into when the next service was due as put my faith in the main dealer. I've had the car just 1.5 months and according to another main dealer my service light will come on next week meaning it requires a service..
I've now been looking into the 140-point inspection for Used/Approved and it states it must have had a service less than 9-months ago or if it has done over 3000 since the last service. The car had only done 1500miles prior to the previous service and the dealer I purchased from is telling me it doesn't need a service within 12-months based on the low milage, providing I have one by end of December (same calendar year).
I am incredibly confused now, and if the car should have been serviced by Used/Approved I would expect them to cover the cost.

Its fairly straight forward - the car needs servicing every 12 months or 10,000 miles, whichever occurs soonest.
I've not looked into the approved used terms, but if it states 9mths or less for its last service then sounds like you may have a case. I don't know why they are saying it can wait until Decemeber? I very much doubt that anybody buying the car in the future with a 15mth service gap would view that as a FULL service history in accordance with the manual. Most Astons only do low mileage and the service interval is set with this in mind.
Oh and there is no service light on the dash - you just have to check the book or wait for the last servicing dealer to call/email you, which they do seem good at.

I think this issue should have been sorted out as the deal was done. i.e serviced again as part of the deal.
Assuming the purchaser highlighted it......Afraid you have missed the boat in my opinion and they haven't technically done anything wrong. Therefore, yes, it is due a service.

Do you? I have never seen it in over 5 years of ownership (3 different vantages)
