After reading a few of the 100k dream garage articles I was trying to work out what you could get for that money that would have had as close to a new price of 1 million, correcting for inflation to the present day, giving you a vehicle for every purpose.

Obviously a few old AMG barges on their last legs would work, as would a fleet of old 7 series (E38 750il was 75k+ new and can be picked up for around 1000 now), but I can't think of much more interesting stuff.

I'm thinking big petrols that never achieved classic status.

Must be road legal at time of purchase and be driveable for a few weeks.
The 100k should get you a flexible fleet with something for all occasions.

Highest new combined price will win a chocolate biscuit (But will have to pay P+P).

Any older Merc that had a V12 or V8, big barges like A8 Audis etc also deserve a mention.

A Rolls Phantom would lose 50% of its value over three years I believe - a grand a week, so technically, its a bargain after a few years!

CL55 was on the list, completely overlooked older Bentleys and Rollers, never even heard of the Farbio before, looks great though I can't see one for sale to work out the depreciation from the original circa 60k.
