Why was the "She's a big girl but" thread closed

I was surprised that it lasted as long as it did... You’ll understand that I didn’t pay the thread that much attention but it seemed to be a 50/50 mix of:
‘I’ll make up a crude, desperate sexual metaphor that might get a snigger off a man with the mentality of a 14 year old boy’
Or;
‘She looks a bit different so I must make unpleasant comments in a vague attempt to boost my mighty heterosexual powers’
Do you really want PH to fill up with threads made up of comments that even the most moronic user of social media would find puerile? If you directed a friend to PH and they stumbled upon a thread like that, wouldn’t you be just a teeny bit embarrassed?
Fair play to the mods for taking action – comments like the ones made aren’t the best reflection of PH and make us all look like drooling Jeremy Clarkson fan boys.

I don't understand why it existed in the first place.You see there are lots of the of "Gor, look at that fat munt, she much be at least a UK10, wouldn't touch it with yours mate, you'd never get out again, etc, etc." Yet once in a while there is a post like that which shows a lady who, to be blunt, will never make a US10, let alone a UK10. Yet quite clearly a number of members, and not just the feeders, were quite happy to say that they found her attractive, although perhaps not in the most eloquent manner.
So if we are to kick bulimia, anorexia and other eating disorders that often start as a result of hating one's body shape into the long grass we actually need more threads with people showing that one size 6 is not fit for all!
Does a woman that has a photo-shoot in a swimsuit washing a car need any protecting? She's 41 not a naive 18 year old. She has been given the publicity she was after, so it's all good.
Having had a lurk around netmums and to a lessor extent their rivals, this place is like a convent, every third thread on netmums is about sex and lezzing it up. Someone posted a link to some pictures of a half naked woman on a website frequented by men and the reaction was what you would expect if you went into a pub and showed her pictures to men. Then the fun police rocked up.
