Just got a quote for some insurance in preparation of my new Cerbie - £809.55 from Direct line.

Just wondering if this was high compared to you lot?

BTW, 32, kept on drive annual mileage of about 10,000 and it din't matter if it was 4.2 or 4.5 - same price.

All depends on where you are. My renewal was £2700 with Privilege, went with Sunninghill for £1700 in the end. Living in London is the main problem.

Best quote I got was 1.4k, for 4.2 P reg cerb, £23k, 6k miles a yr, 2 yrs ncb and 3 points, I'm 25, this was by far the cheapist quote I got, thats from Tescos. I think for anyone looking for a good quote I'd look at the supermarket deals as well. I live in S Wales.

Regards Chris

Byff,

I am in the North East also (Middlesbrough), 26 with a Cerb 4.5 (Garaged) and renewal this year was £1083 with Sunninghill (£400 cheaper than the first year). Give these a bell and you might get it below the figure you've got, although I must admit it seems a fairly decent price. Tesco apparently another good bet.

Hi, I still find Norwich Union Direct the cheapest beat Manning and Sunninghim by some margin but all depends on postcode etc.

£811 with Bell Direct with a £600 xs, garaged, 4k miles per year. 2nd car but they matched my full NCB as my other car (Rover 216) is with them. 6 months into the Policy had to ring up to get mileage allowance doubled to 8k for which they charged £13.48.

Can someone post the phone numbers for Sunninghill/ Bell etc. HHH have promised to "look" at my premium, but as the Cerb is a 3rd / 4th car it seems a joke.

Age 33 1996 4.2 Cerb 22000 miles value 19000.

I chose an optinoal excess of £1000 and have 3 points and a write off in the last year.

The extra excess made a big difference.

Quote £595 from Tesco !
