A quick thanks to everyone at Specialist Cars at Malton and a recommendation from me.

My new toy, a 1987 LHD 928 S4 Auto was not keeping a charge and needed a jump start every time.

I booked it in, expecting a huge bill, their mechanics had a good look over it and found the relay for the heated rear window was US and drawing 17 amps even with the ignition off

They have booked me in next week to fix it and in the meantime made sure I can start it each morning.

I can wholehartedly recommend them plus their showroom was awesome, if you're going be prepared to spend some money the minute you see the stuff they have for sale.

But then again most of you guys probably know how good they are.

I got a cracking christmas card from them and all I bought was a Zymol kit. Quite surprised. They seem to understand all about customers.

They dug me out of a hole and replaced the headgasket on my old 944S at very short notice between Christmas and New Year about 5 years ago. Nice people to deal with and some very nice kit in the showroom.

I bought one set of brake pads from them about five years ago and they always send me a nice christmas card

I've noticed over the years that their cars for sale always seem much more expensive than anyone else. I just assumed that would mean they are much better prepared and truly good examples of the marque. However I once went to a show where they had a stand and the cars on show were nowhere near what I expected. Hopefully that was a rare example of bad stock at the time and their valeter was having a bad day

Good to have Spec Cars of Malton on here. I have always made an association with the prices being quite specialist as well, but then it seems you get what you pay for in customer service (or at least xmas cards ). Re Zymol, I wouldn't ask here, but go direct to zdo uk or try paul at www.miracledetail.co.uk as he really knows his onions

There isn't a specific forum for polishing queries at Pistonheads (we are all too busy driving ), but if you use the search button and look for Zymol in each forum you will find lots of posts.

Thanks once again for the Christmas cards

£150k is the going rate, two other rhd cars for similar money, plus a 700 mile yellow rhd, not sure how much maybe £180-£200k? Wheels look to be BBS magnesium race wheels, around £3k. AS good if not better than original speedlines, although granted not original.

Just had a look on the website. That is sex on wheels, quite frankly. Didn't think GT2's were that expensive though

I sat next to the GT2 whilst the guys weaved their magic on mine and it was even nicer in the metal than in the pics.

with regards to the wheels on the yellow gt2, they were the factory racing option bbs lightweight magnesium wheels and yes to the gt3 seats.

Sorry to resurrect an old thread but I just got my 928 back from Specialist Cars where they have been doing some work (fitting an alarm, changing cambelt plus a few electrical gremlins).

The car is absolutely spot on now, it seems to be running a lot better (I know a cambelt change shouldn't make a difference like that), they have cleaned it for me (looks really nice) and done all I asked them to do.

Another thankyou to Specialist Cars, once more I can recommend their excellent service (and being picked up from the station in a 911 was pretty special!)
