Looking for some recommendations for restaurants in London, ideally not too far from Charing Cross station, but we can travel further afield if required.

Looking for somewhere mid-priced with a vibrant atmosphere - maybe something unusual / niche about the place or the food.

All ideas gratefully received!

Barrafina - Adelelaide Street.

Just opened, 10 seconds from Charing Cross.

Will tick all your boxes.

apparently "The Cinnamon" and "Friends House" are underrated eateries - not been (yet) so I really can't say either way but I do trust the taste of the recommender

consider: http://terroirswinebar.com

Not too expensive, very near Charing Cross. Different.

Very trendy .. you'll have to book

  • - do try the steak tartar (spicy).

Seems ideal, but you can't book...

I wonder how busy it will be on a Wednesday evening?

Well it was half full before midday on Tuesday! Evenings are pretty busy all the time.

Oh don't tell everyone about Terroirs!

Love it. Even the bread and butter is amazing.

Rules in Covent a Garden - always good and pretty good value. A true experience.
