Whilst they are very happy to talk to you on the phone in English, if you have a problem and your car is left in Europe awaiting repatriation, you will then need to liaise with them in German in terms of written correspondence. More specifically, they will ask you to submit a list of contents left in the car in German and will not accept it in English.

Not a massive problem in the current world of google translate, but something to be mindful of.
