I bought a Boxster Peddle Car yesterday, I thought i would share the experience with you. I saw it on their website, and thought I would buy if for a special child I know. Phoned my local OPC about a week ago, they didn't have any in stock. But will take my order for one in time for Christmas. We'll call you next week when it comes in. Week Later, no call. I call them, a"hh a number have come in to the wharehouse in Reading, but we're not sure if one of them is your's". I call Reading, they say, we have none in stock, but try our Park Lane centre. Phone call to Park Lane, very Faux Poshette on phone spends the duration of the phone call listening to her own polished vowels instead of listening to me, (how many times do you have to remind these Frilly-Gilly types what the nature of the call is...), the upshot was "we don't have any in stock", in other words they want them for for their showroom. Back to Reading, eventually back to my local OPC. We'll call you when we get one in. Yesterday they called, it's arrived. Go down to pick it up, "So how come all this messing around for a peddle car then", say I. "They have phased out the old shape, and we were waiting on delivery of the new shape..." I had to laugh, even when he said the price had gone up by £22 over the 'previous model'...

Postscript.

Even for a plastic peddle car, it's a little cracker!

Presumably "peddle car" because they're peddling it (peddle = rather dodgy sales technique!). A nice pun (which I'm sure you intended!).

I wish I had bought the peddle car instead of the real thing!
