Seamaster 5yr service.
Discussion
So my seamaster is now almost 5. It's been great. When I first got it from Goldsmiths I had to buy on 0% finance. The manager wouldn't lower the price but threw in the 5 year sterling insurance for damage and theft. She guaranteed that at the end of the 5 years it would cover a service if worded correctly.
Tbh I never timed the watch. It's worn 16 hours a day and only left over night. I usually adjust it once a month or so. Normally minutes out.
I have timed it recently using my iphone. It looses roughly 9 seconds over a 48 hour period.
So where would Goldsmiths send the watch. I would assume it would be getting a full service. Also with that time loss is it within standard?
I would not want it to come back worse. But it would be saving me a fair chunk which definitely helps as were saving for a house.

I wouldn't bother getting it serviced. 9 seconds over 48 hours is probably just outside COSC specs so it might be losing a little time but it probably needs regulating rather than servicing. Variomatic on here could get that done for you.
I had my Seamaster for 10 years before it needed a service and only then as it wouldn't hold a wind overnight.
