I'm rebuilding My Vauxhall engined HPC, it was bought as a road car kit in the 90's but hill climbed & sprinted with a full harness, now I'm putting it back together as a road car, came to fit the still boxed seat belts to find I don't have the plastic guides that prevent the belts snagging on the aluminium bulkhead.
Caterham no longer sell them as a separate part, they come with the belts now allegedly.
Anyone prepared to take one out and give me any part numbers from the rear of it? Hopefully I can find who makes them - looks awfully like a BMW E39 rear belt guide to me. Of course if anyone has any to sell that would be even better.
Thanks!

It is of course your choice, but from my experience I would never go back to retractable belts.
I was hit side on at the rear nearside wheel of my seven when wearing retractable belts. The result is the car was shunted to the right and forward and my head hit something (I assume the bulkhead between the seats).
I was knocked unconscious, lost part of my ear, and have no memory of that day or the day after when I woke up in hospital.
I wasn't moving at the time so whether you're Captain Slow or not doesn't make a lot of difference sometimes.
Not wishing to frighten anyone, but just bear in mind these things can and do happen.

Someone on here had an accident where they hit another vehicle head on (not going particularly quickly) and their head came forward with enough force to bend the top of the steering wheel back. You simply could not have done that with harnesses.
I've got 4 points at the moment but I'm buying and fitting some new Titon 6 point harnesses over the winter.
I wouldn't go near normal seatbelts in a 7. In not just your own driving you need to worry about, it's other people's.
