Battery was flat as a dodo.
Dead alternator. New alternator, Gruff is charging up outside and we will shortly go for a little hoon.

Just had the same experience myself, although I hope the flat battery was just because he hasn't been out of the garage all week and I haven't got around to installing the charger yet.

It's a little slippy out there but I still managed to impress my 2005 Le Mans co-driver who's a TVR virgin.

We seem to have had similar problems it turns out. Had to change the alternator, also the battery could have been better. That was changed too, but luckily the battery was still under warranty.

I had a suspicion it might be the alt. Battery run down, AA guy puts the gauge on....yep, nowt happening on the Alt m8. Righto, ring the local landy place grab an alt and be back in an hour to fit it. Job down £76 for an alt.

Did indeed go for a blat
Up around Yalding, A26, Maidstone and then out towards Bluewater.
Wound her upto 5.5k..in 2nd What I *really* need to do now is find an excuse to go through Dartford Tunnel at say...1am, when its quiet and open the taps fully.

If you think its good on your own you should try it with 20 Tivs in your convoy!

Take up both lanes, slow down to a crawl to give you some space - & as you hit the entrance to the tunnel, bang, full revs - fantastic.

Not that I would ever condone such behaviour your honour!
