My DBS, my story.
Discussion
Back in July, Paddy the pizza eating polisher asked me if he could borrow my DBS as a promotional tool for the Burghley House event. Of course, I obliged and placed the car over in a corner of the field, just along from a well known independent.
I was accompanied to the event by one of my co directors who had previously, found the good sense to purchase a V12VS - which is great - but being constantly reminded that the DBS is 55BHP short can get a little tiring.
But what to do? Take it on the chin and roll over - not a chance. Buy a Vanquish - I dunno, I'm still not sold on the Interior and £50K better than a DBS?? Buy a Porsche GT3 - too common and anyway, I couldn't bear driving something that's in the same family as that awful looking Panamera thing. Buy a V12VS - it would shut him up, but I've done the V12 and had a V8 so I'm all Vantaged out.
Wandering back to the car, where Paddy was predictably eating cake instead of getting on with the free detail he'd promised, I had a chat with the Bamford Boys about a couple of previous V12 engined projects.
"Just a minute - did you say 570BHP? 5 more than the V12VS?" There was a short pause. Everything just for a moment went like a scene out of The Matrix and then.... "Yes" came the reply. "Yes it would."
"Done........call me when it's ready!"
So, here follows a full and comprehensive write up on how a 570BHP DBS feels.
It's f
kin' epic!

Another f
ked up.....sorry modified.....car....oh..happy days.....
Ton' you drive without doubt a stunning DBS manual in lightning silver and you love the way it drives and the performance, and that's fine. But you still felt the need to change the wheel colour - which looks stunning by the way. And you placed a little Aston Martin set of wings on the centre console because it's what you liked - it completed the car for you.
ked up.....sorry modified.....car....oh..happy days.....I've come from a V12, which was mental, but it was determined to smash my back to pieces, so i bought a DBS - but it doesn't hit the spot like a 12 does in terms of out and out acceleration and handling. The DBS does however, look like pure pornography and remains the ultimate Aston.
With the mechanical modifications I get the looks of a DBS and the performance of the V12. What's not to like for the sake of a few grand?
So, with my Bamford Boys mods, paintshied front end protection, Tony Hall door sill plates all finished in Quantum Silver I have the Aston Martin I always dreamt of.
And your problem is caller?
