Door Mirror ECU

I have managed to locate a replacement ECU but do not have a clue where the old one is located.
SHb says either in the drivers door or under carpet around steering column....not on mine !!!
Suggestions (polite) please.

There is a large black plug under the drivers side which the unit fits into, then just needs re locating in the area, poss with the aid of a few tie wraps to stop it dropping out when your trying to impress people (seem to spend my life putting heater units back behind the passenger dash on Tuscans just when your trying to tell someone how better made they are these days !

I didn't know the chim had an ecu for the mirrors, that'll be something else to chuck a few quid at to see if I can get them working!

Have had a really good poke under the driver's foot well (not bad for 64!!) and I can not find it...could it be under dash top?
Search TVR Chimaera mirror ecu on ebay and there are a few. Mine is a late 98 Chimaera and the part no is ME 0270. however I believe there are several different units depending on age.

Racing Green also do a refurb service on the unit.

I'll wait to see if you find it, who knows you may want to sell it
