First issue

On the day of picking up my 500 I asked about the locking wheel nut and we looked at one wheel which had an Allen style opener on it. Not a problem I thought, I own many Allen keys at home, sorted. I didn't check any other wheels as I assumed they would all be the same. During a tidy up today I looked at the other wheels and.......not Allen key holes, Ferk!!!

They have some sort of doubled slotted affair thing going on. Can the relevant device still be obtained for the 500 wheels? And of course, where?

I don't fancy having a puncture and having to smash off the centre covers and possibly damaging the wheels.

Thoughts?

I lost my locking wheel nut thingy so I got my local garage
to remove the locking wheel nuts. They had them all of within the
hour and charged me about £70

AA and RAC both carry a tool that removes them quite easily and
a search of the web reveals a number of tools that will get them
off quite quickly. I've come to the conclusion that if someone
wants your wheels badly enough they will have them anyway so
I just replaced mine with standard bolts

Sorry, I haven't been clear. It's not the nut but the disk covering all of the nuts ala 500 alloy wheels that I'm missing.

I don't even know if the other alloys have a locking nut behind these covers.

Unless they are "stupid" tight just a large flat blade screwdriver will do 'em.




I'd relace them all with Allen key type ..
