Overly Optimistic Enthusiast

I know that in recent times Chimaera prices have taken a knock, but is this really a possibility?

£6k is perfectly reasonable...however for the "first time enthusiast" I'd be a bit worried:
1. You might need to be enthusiastic about replacing wishbones, outriggers and more.
2. Chances are it will need carpets, if not more, replacing inside.
3. Mileage wise could be ready for a clutch, cam, or more.
4. In general, condition will be commensurate with age.
That said, I believe my old 93L Chim changed hands for around 9k recently at 66k miles, and at 58k miles there was nothing wrong with it other than a dodgy starter motor, so bargains are out there.
Thing is, it's a TVR, so running it will not be cheap, regardless of purchase price.
