I've just spent the weekend in hamburg..........fantastic city it really is. as I was trundling round the city drinking it all in I managed to find NINE official rolex dealers!!! hamburg must surely win the "how many rolex dealers does your city have" competition. and it got me thinking, why so many???

Off the top of my head, I think London has about 15!

it strikes me as very odd....hamburg is a city of, what, 3 1/2 million?? I know it's an opulent city but I can't see the advantage to rolex to having so many outlets!!??? some glorious pieces though , and generally completely different stock in each jewellers ........I think I've just answered my own question!!.....too much stock for only a handful of stores to sit on?

Per capita I suspect there will be many places that have "more" Rolex AD's; both home and abroad.

Germany is big into watches...

My wife lives there and nearly every city we have lived in has had at least a Rolex AD and many more.

Down in the southern areas of Germany and the larger cities in the Northern part, there is a huge amount of disposable income, not to mention a lot of international visitors that are doing business with large German corporations.

Another thing that is surprising, is the number of what we would refer to specialist AD's that are in these smaller cities too, like Ulysse Nardin, Nomos, Sinn etc.
